MESSAGING DELIVERY CHALLENGES

Companies are finding it increasingly difficult to communicate to clients via SMS messages. SMS communication’s delivery rate and reach is decreasing as more users are opting out of receiving communications. Users also prefer messaging apps for more cost-effective two-way communication.

Around 30%+ of SMSs get blocked in one of the following ways:

  • AT ACCOUNT LEVEL

A ‘STOP’ message has been sent. The company is no longer allowed to contact the person.

WASP (Wireless application service providers)

Users block and unsubscribe from WASPs via their mobile service provider’s subscription management services.

  • GLOBAL OPT OUT LIST

People sign up to the global Opt Out list.

SMS remains a powerful and cost-effective communication platform.

•    It is reliable and immediate
•    It can be accessed on any cell phone
•    It allows for two-way communication

OUR SOLUTION

Synergy tries various platforms first and lastly resorts to SMS. If delivery fails, it automatically goes to the next platform. This ensures an increased delivery rate by activating various platforms. Our solution communicates to clients on the platform/s they prefer.

NOTE Users need to comply with the different platform-specific content allowed for each platform.

Digital signatures

SECURE MESSAGES WITH A DIGITAL SIGNATURE

A digital signature is similar to a handwritten signature, but provides additional security attributes with 3 key features:

SENDER VERIFICATION

The sender is who he/she claims to be.

INTEGRITY

The message was not altered during transit.

NONREPUDIATION

The sender cannot deny having sent the message.

Digital signatures have the same legal standing as a handwritten signature as long as it adheres to the requirements of the specific regulation under which it was created.

HOW IT WORKS

Digital signatures are based on asymmetric cryptography, were there is a private key, which only the signatory knows, and a public key, which is available to everyone. Both are generated through a public key algorithm. In this way, when the user wants to sign a message, he uses his private key, which is unique and non-transferable.

Digital signatures are based on digital certificates issued by certification authorities (CA). The certificates are used to link digital identities to the pair of keys generated by a user and contain data such as their name, the date on which the certificate expires, a copy of the public key and information about the CA that issued the certificate.

A hash (a unique and non-transferable identifier of a digital document) is usually generated using a hash function. This hash is encrypted using the signer’s private key and combined with the public key to create what is commonly known as a digital signature.

The receiver, in turn, verifies the identity of the signatory through the public key, which gurantees the privacy of the information exchanged between two users. Your digital signature, which includes your certificate and public key, originates from your digital ID, which serves as your unique digital mark.

Notifications

DELIVERY AND READ NOTIFICATIONS

A delivery receipt confirms delivery of your message to the recipient, but not that the recipient has seen it or read it. A read receipt confirms that your message was opened.
